I wanted her eyes to convey the duality of her being; her innocence, her supple, soft nature, which ironically brought into existence the anger-filled beast. The juxtaposition of these two poles is the true medusa – a trophy for the classical greek male figure, dominant and consuming, both physically and ideologically, but when confronted, she slips from the role of the pray into the role of the hunter, disarming the man and devouring his essence.
