Some Monkeys, 2015, 75 x 60 cm, photo tapestry30 ultra-gloss photos on plywood panel, edition 1/1, courtesy of the artist, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

It is the unpredictability of the monkey’s movements and intentions that fills this piece with vigour. Our perception of reality is but our own, and the camera shatters this dogma into pieces. It is the gap between what is “seen” and what is “expected to be seen”, that reveals all the small cracks in our perspective and breaks reality apart.
